a fantastic read and a great starting point for the Discworld ...
Didn't realize it was a reprinting, still looking for a first edition.
Terry Pratchett is my absolute favorite author. All his books are great
Terry Pratchett is my absolute favorite author.
Refreshing Whimsical Fantasy
I actually heard the name Pratchett, then saw the movie.
Discworld
I've decided he's too good and too prolific for me to write a brand new review every single time I read one of his books.
Everything's Coming Up Octarine
Being a science fiction reading, I'm not much of a fantasy reader, but for those that read either genre, they know that there's occasionally cross-over appeal, and I'm in a country where not only are Terry Pratchett books everywhere, they have also been translated into the local language, Estonian, so I thought I'd have to read at least the start of the series.
Continuous humor, action, adventure
This book was a nonstop adventure.
Should be The Tourist
When Rincewind a failed wizard who has got one of the greatest spells of all time locked in his head, he meets a tourist from the Agatean Empire, let's just say.
A terrific way to waste an afternoon
As everyone knows, the "color of magic" is octarine -- the eighth color in the spectrum, visible only to wizards, like Rincewind of Ankh-Morpork, who's pretty much a failure at his profession , but who does show a talent for survival.
You are in a world of twisty little stories, all different
The Colour of Magic is a perfect introduction to the wizarding society of the Discworld.
A Kickstart for the Discworld novels!
Well, Terry Pratchett couldn't have started a series better than with his first novel "The Colour of Magic".
