Avis (10)
I strongly recommend it for the serious reader
I read it twice.
Easy to read, but at the same time very objective and almost scientific.
Highly recommended for anyone who is in to SETI etc.
Excellent Work
This is an excellent work by one of our most brilliant minds in the field of earthly diplomacy.
Very well written and very thought-provoking!
This book is the most thoroughly-researched and closely-referenced work I have ever read.
objective but narrow-sighted
If one is narrowly focused in ruminating about the notion of Extra-Terrestrial contact, this book ought to advance and instill a much broader range of consideration within all facets of the subject.
Thought provoking yes. Concise or well organized, not so much.
This book is most definitely well researched.
A Deeply Flawed, Onesided Survery of SETI
Sadly, Michael A.
Absolutely required reading for SETI enthusiasts
Before the publication of David Grinspoon's Lonely Planets: The Natural Philosophy of Alien Life , which I highly recommend , I was frankly starved for speculations and information about the search for extraterrestrial life.
A True Service
Michael Michaud has performed a service for the specialized as well as the lay reader with this comprehensive review of who might be out there, how do we find out and how might we react.
More interesting ideas per page than most books I've read
